Your travel information to Daydream Island

Travel Arrangements- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Below is some helpful information to assist with your travel plans:Exciting news! Airlines have started releasing flight routes for July 2026 to attend the Scottish Elvis Festival Downunder at Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef (20–24 July 2026). Most flights will become available in the next couple of months. Please keep in mind that flight prices will vary depending on when you book, the airline, route, and fare type. The most competitive fares are usually available once all flight routes are released.

Below is some helpful information to assist with your travel plans:

Getting to Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef

There are two main airports that service the Whitsundays:

Hamilton Island Airport (HTI)

Getting to Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef

o  The most convenient option, as ferry transfers depart directly from the airport to Daydream Island.

o  Ideal if you wish to stay on Hamilton Island before or after the event.

o  When requesting return ferry transfers, advise My Queensland of: Hamilton Island Airport (HTI) → Daydream Island Resort (DDI)Getting to Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef

Proserpine (PPP)

o  Usually the more affordable option, with more airlines and flight times.

o  Located around 45 minutes from the Port of Airlie ferry terminal, so you will need a taxi or private transfer.

o  Ideal if you wish to stay in Airlie Beach before or after the event.

o  When requesting return ferry transfers, advise My Queensland of: Port of Airlie (POA) → Daydream Island Resort (DDI)Proserpine (PPP)

o   Usually the more affordable option, with more airlines and flight times.

o   Located around 45 minutes from the Port of Airlie ferry terminal, so you will need a taxi or private transfer.

o   Ideal if you wish to stay in Airlie Beach before or after the event.

o   When requesting return ferry transfers, advise My Queensland of: Port of Airlie (POA) → Daydream Island Resort (DDI)

Flight Booking Options

Please see below options to book flights for the festival:

1.  Book flights direct with an airline: a good option if you have Frequent Flyer points or wish to take advantage of direct to customer pricing

2.  Book through your local travel agent: a good option if you would prefer book face-to-face with an agent closer to home

Return Ferry Transfers

Your My Queensland holiday package includes return ferry transfers from either:

·  Hamilton Island Airport, Hamilton Island (HTI); or

·  Port of Airlie, Airlie Beach (POA).

Once your flights are confirmed, please contact My Queensland (with your IG booking number) to provide your flight details. These will be passed on to Daydream Island Resort, who will book your ferry transfers with Cruise Whitsundays (https://www.cruisewhitsundays.com/resort-connections-fares/). You’ll receive confirmation of ferry times 2–3 weeks before travel.Return Ferry Transfers

Your My Queensland holiday package includes return ferry transfers from either:
